Volunteer's Code of Safety (Click

If weather is questionable:
CALL 561-748-8140
- if there is no cancellation message, THE CLEANUP IS A GO!
Here's what
happens:
-
MEET 8:00 AM: Ocean Cay Park at southwest corner of A1A (at the
beach) and Marcinski Road. Anita Lankler Pavilion. Marcinski Road
is North of Donald Ross Road and South of Indiantown Road in
Jupiter.
-
Sign in at 8:00 AM, get
your free prize ticket. Join a team, grab
small bags (bring some from home!) We try to provide gloves
and pick up sticks. Large bags are provided by the Solid Waste
Authority.
-
Each team cleans a section: along walk-ways, under crossovers, on
beach, etc., but never in the dunes or sea grasses. Some sections require a car ride. Empty small bags into large SWA Adopt-a-Spot bags.
LEAVE BAGS BY THE TRASHCANS; not on the beach, not on the road...
-
WEAR: socks, sneakers, gloves &
FJB T-shirt, if you'd like ($10 donation -
available at Cleanup). Protect arms & legs. Follow the
Safety Guidelines posted
at the cleanups and here on the website.
-
FREE BREAKFAST: Return by 9:30 AM for "the
best breakfast on the beach", including Einstein Bagels,
home baked breads, fruit, coffee, refreshments, fun,
new & old friends, and great PRIZES from folks like Starbarks
the Dog Bakery, Barefoot Yoga, Tabica Grill, and Nestle Purina.
-
10:00 AM SHARP:
We are outta there!
If you're interested, JUST SHOW UP! There is no need to
register in advance.
Remember: Community Service hours are awarded for
volunteer work done for Friends of Jupiter Beach.
ALL are welcome!!
