Directions to Jupiter's Dog-Friendly Beach

Welcome to Jupiter Beach in northern Palm Beach County.  Please note that well-behaved dogs (on leash or under strict voice control) are welcome on a 2.5 mile stretch of beach, from North of the Juno Beach Life-Guarded area to South of the Carlin Park Life-Guarded area - crossovers 2-24.  Please respect any NO DOGS ON BEACH areas (especially life-guarded areas); please respect all humans and dogs, never allowing dogs to approach without being invited.  Pick up after your dog, using FJB dog bags provided in boxes at the beach crossovers.  FJB volunteers have kept Jupiter Beach clean and dog-friendly for 14+ years!

Directions to the Beach:
Two Jupiter exits from I-95:  Donald Ross Road or Indiantown Road.

  • From Donald Ross Road:  East to the end, turn left or North on A1A (beach road).  Dog-friendly beach begins at intersection of A1A and Marcinski Road (traffic light).

  • From Indiantown Road:  East to A1A (not Alternate A1A - you must have gone over the Intracoastal Bridge), turn right or South on A1A, pass Carlin Park on the left.  After curves, road is straight along the beach and dog-friendly beach begins there.

PLEASE USE THE DOGGY BAGS PROVIDED BY FRIENDS OF JUPITER BEACH AND USE BEST BEACH ETIQUETTE!  Your support of our efforts is appreciated, we are supported solely by donations and volunteer efforts.

Beach Code of Conduct

FROM THE DOGS OF JUPITER BEACH TO THEIR HUMANS!!!

YOU CAN HELP KEEP THE CURRENT TOWN OF JUPITER POLICY IN EFFECT BY FOLLOWING THESE COMMON SENSE SUGGESTIONS:

Please, Dear Humans...

  • Don't let me shake water on, or "invade" the space of other people
  • Remove my "poop" with doggie bags or your own plastic bags
  • Don't bury "poop" or throw it in the dunes or water.  Remind me and I'll "go potty" at home before beach time
  • Let me run...only when you have found a desolate spot on the beach...giving no one reason to complain
  • Bring me to the beach early or late.  Less hot, less crowded.
It is in your interest to take this very seriously for the sake of "your best friend".  Please honor these requests.  This is one of the last "dog beaches" left.  If humans do not respect others, dogs won't have a beach to enjoy.  Please do not litter.  Enjoy and respect this beautiful place.

We are very fortunate here in Jupiter to have a Town Council and Beach Committee that support the concept of dogs on the beach - the easy way is to just ban dogs on the beach and avoid the potential problem all together.

PLEASE - try to be a part of the solution, not the problem.
